Coaching Certificate Awarding ceremony 2018 Held At FAM House

Coaching Certificate Awarding ceremony 2018 was held in the FAM House yesterday.

Certificates were handed to courses conducted this year for levels A, B and C. Talking to the participants, Chief Guest Hanim said " certificates are not meant to be kept under the pillow or on the wall". Hanim wished all the coaches the best and urged everyone to work hard in their respective fields and also give importance in going further in the coaching education. 

FAM's Technical Director Ihusan Abdul Ghani(Saanthi) speaking to the participants, announced boys under 12 league and an under 14 league in addition to women's football academy. Saanthi said that there will be many more opportunities for coaches and outlined the importance of coaches keeping up with their work. "we will hold refresher courses, we will also provide a Licence from the Association that needs to be renewed every year, those who are not active, their Licences will not be renewed without participating in refresher courses. Football is evolving fast and we need to keep up" The Technical Director said.

FAM's General Secretary Hussain Jawaz also congratulated the coaches and highlighted the importance of coaches in the football family. "our door is always open for coaches, all the coaches are welcome to come and work with us" he said. Jawaz also said that they are open to criticism and that constructive criticism is necessary for the growth of the football. 

"I was trained in the under 14 team by coach Muaviath Ilham, and today he completed his A-certificate course, and I am proud to have trained with him" said the General Secretary praising the role of coaches in the society. Jawaz said that a lot of credit for winning the SAFF Suzuki Cup goes to those coaches who spent hours with training players, specially those youth coaches who helped create players.

AFC A-Certificate, also known as Continental A Certificate is technically the highest level, After the A-certificate, is the Continental Pro-Licence which deals with Technical and management side of football. Six coaches were awarded the A-Certificate course which was conducted by Jordanian Instructor, Nihad Souqar. AFC B-Certificate was also awarded to six coaches was conducted by Singaporean Instructor Robert Lim in January 2018. FAM's Coach Education Department head, Shazly Mohamed conducted the C-Certificate course in which 16 coaches succeeded. One coach was handed the AFC Goalkeeping Level 1 Certificate.
