Foakaidhoo announces trials for their under 21 squad.

Foakaidhoo will be participating in the FAM Under 21 Youth Championship starting in February. It's not clear when they will start their practice, but the interested players are asked to contact 7970303 or 7415168. We believe Foakaidhoo will start practice in the first week of January as the Youth Championship is scheduled to start in early February.

Foakaidhoo Under 21 squad will be lead by the senior team's assistant coach Ahmed Husham. This will be Foakaidhoo's first ever appearance in the FAM Youth Championships. Foakaidhoo star, Maldives best young player, Oggy(Mohamed Jailam) is expected to lead along with other senior team players such as Ahmed Shamal, Hussain Nabeeh(Nabido), Hassan Nazeem Gassim(Choatu) and Hussain Rayyan.

"Although this is our first appearance, we expect Foakaidhoo to do well in the Youth Championships, but our main target is to get players for our senior team. Senior team coach and I will evaluate players closely. Foakaidhoo has given importance to youth players" said Foakaidhoo under 21 manager Mohamed Rimaz. According to the manager, the team will be based in Male' just as the senior team. All practices will be held in the turf grounds.

Last season Foakaidhoo had several youth players in their ranks, with Oggy(Mohamed Jailam) winning Maldives Football Awards as the most promising player of 2018.
