Imran’s retirement match donation to Blind and Visually Impaired Society of Maldives

The charity money earned from the sales made from Imran’s official national team retirement match has been donated to Blind and Visually Impaired Society of Maldives.

 

One of the legends of the game in both in club and national level, Imran Mohamed (Imma)’s official national team retirement match was held on December 30th, 2018 with legendary goalkeeper for Manchester United Peter Schmeichel and Real Madrid star Michael Salgado taking part in it. His retirement from the national side came after a golden 17 years of service and playing an important role in guiding Maldives to its first ever gold medal (SAFF Championship 2008).

 

The Bind and Visually Impaired Society of Maldives (BVISM) is a local NGO working to help make lives of people with difficulties and disabilities in vision better. The society was founded in 2010 and has been eversince active helping people with vision impairments. The donation from Imma’s retirement match of MVR 22,475 to the society hopes to help the society with better facilities and services for the visually impaired.

 

The player has played important roles in big names of the Maldivian football such as New Radiant and Victory, guiding them to glory and will still continue to play the sport locally.
