D-certificate held by Football Association of Maldives for Dhivehi Sifaingen Club.

The D-certificate course started this morning on FAM turf grounds. Theory classes were held tonight in FAM Building. The three day course will be conducted by Maldives National Team Assistant Coach Ahmed Shakir(Shakittey). Shakittey will lead a three man Instructor team. Early Touch Football Academy's experienced coach Hamdhullah Fernando and Foakaidhoo FC's Ali Nisthar Mohamed will be working with Shakitte. twenty eight coaches from Dhivehi Sifainge Club attended the sessions today. DSC already a second division club, also has their own Inter-Department annual competitions. Some of the coaches participating in the D-Licence course are already working as coaches in the Inter-Department teams.

The D-Licence course will cover the basic aspect of football. The Course has both theory and practical sessions. According to FAM official, next year on wards D-Licence will be Pre-requisite for the C-Certificate course. 

The next D-Licence course will be held in Dhiggaru on the 24th of January. The current Premier League winning coach Mohamed Nizam(Nizambe) will lead the course in Dhiggaru. The two man instructor course will also see former National under 19 coach Mohamed Shahid working with Nizambe.

The newly introduced Licence course has 15 FAM-Licensed instructors. The three to four day course can be requested from the FAM. Councils, schools, clubs etc can request FAM for the D-Licence course. There is not specific criteria for those interested in doing the D-Licence course.
