Hassan Nazeem Gasim (Choatu) and Jailam Mohamed (Oggy) signs for Foakaidhoo FC at an event held tonight by the club.

Oggy came into spotlight in 2016, playing for BG Sports as a 16 year old winger. The youngster is not afraid to take on the big boys of Maldivian football and has already captained Maldives under 19 team. Before joining Foakaidhoo, Oggy starred for Maalhos and made an appearance in Eagles under 21 side after a brief stint in Victory Sports Club

Oggy is currently Maldives most promising player. Oggy was elected as the most promising young player by the coaches, managers and captains of Premier League clubs.

Choatu came to limelight replacing the Egyptian Mahmud Mostafa (Kahraba) and did not disappoint. Upon his return from his studies, Choatu replaced the experienced Kahraba who moved to Saudi Arabian league. Choatu made an immediate impact with some of the Foakaidhoo supporters calling him 'Kuda Kahurabaa'- translated as the young Kahraba.

The 17 year old Maldives junior national player is not new to Maldives football. Dominating Inter-School tournaments since he was nine years old for Jamaluddin School. Choatu trained mostly with Early Touch Football Academy until he moved to Sri Lanka for studies. In Sri Lanka Choatu worked with Ahmed Firaz Moosa (Malla). On return to Maldives Choatu was signed with FFC coached by his former youth coach at Early Touch Football Academy.

The club is delighted with the signing of an extension with both players. The premier league is set to start this June with the new format decided by FAM after discussion with the teams playing in the league.
