Inter School: Dharumavantha advance to quarter finals after defeating Kalaafaanu

Today in the on going Mamen Inter School Football Tournament 2019, the match of group B between Kalaafaanu School and Dharumavantha School has ended on Dharumavantha favour. 
 
Dharumavantha advance into quarter finals stage with 0-0 win against Kalaafaanu from today's match.
 
Dharumavantha kicked off in a higher spirit as they bagged their first goal of the match at the very first minute. Adam Azmee netted for Dharumavantha blues in the 1st minute of first half making it the quickest goal of the tournamrnt so far.
 
The performance from Kalaafanu showed that they were not to settle for a early concede as they went to equalise on 9 minutes later.
At the 10th minute Ismail Liaz went on to equalise for Kalaafaanu.
 
After a goal from both side match was seen as an average game until when Dharumavantha netted their second of the noon. 
Dhayyan Ahmed collected the lead for his side again just 5 minutes after the 20th minute cooling break.
First half performance took the interval break Dharumavantha leading on a 2-1 score.
 
After the break second half began on a low tempo from both teams. There was not much good scoring chances found by either side until the second half reached it's half way. Kalaafaanu got a huge chance to best chance to level the game as they were awarded an indirect free kick inside the penalty box. But green boys of Kalaafaanu could not put the ball into the back of the net. 
 
Somehow the same play ended on Dharumavantha favour. 30 seconds later to Kalaafaanu chance, Dharumavantha took the advantage of the it as they went on attack and scored their 3rd goal. A brilliant cutback from Ali Rayyan found the freely waiting Ahemd Mazeen inside the box. Ahmed Mazeen placed the ball into the back of the net with ease to make it 3-1 Dharumavantha. Have to say Kalaafaanu also was trying to play good attacks though they were loosing the match with a huge merging. 
3 minutes later to Dharumavantha blues latest goal, Kalaafaanu got another good chance. This time it was Ibrahim Shaiban who could not use the brilliant 1 on 1 chance against Dharumavantha goalie. The ball was blocked by keeper and went on to a corner. The resulting corner gave another chance for the green boys. Again Ahmed Mahil got a free header from the corner as he was freely staying in the opponent box. Unfortunately he could not put the ball into the goal.
 
Couple of minutes later another brilliant assist from Ali Rayyan found the player on the lime light, Dhayyan Ahmed. At that 60th minute Dhayyan scored his second of the noon by placing the ball with out any difficulty to the left side if the Kalaafaanu goal keeper leaving him action less.
 
Time to time Kalaafaanu also was getting few good chances to reduce the margin of score line. One of the best performing from Kalaafaanu side was Mohamed Leevan. Though his side was loosing the match he kept his fight on. As a result he got a brilliant chance at the 61st minute. His shot inside the D area was saved by the Dharumavantha goal keeper with confidence. 
 
One minute late Dharumavantha was found win another great chance. Again for the well performing Dhayyan. It could have being his hat-rick competing goal but Kalaafaanu keeper saved his shot inside the penalty box.
 
But Dhayyan was not done yet. Seconds later a ball put into the box for the right flank showed Kalaafaanu keeper struggling to get hold on as Dhayyan also was on the fight to collect it. Ball dropped inform of Dhayyan and he took full advantage of it. The on form forward of Dharumavantha confidently chipped over keeper to the top of the net to complete his hatrick.
Till to the end of second half both team were served with chances to score. But Dharumavantha collected more as against just a minute before the end of regular time, at the 69th minute the mesmerizing number 10 of Dharumavantha scored his fourth. And they were not done yet. Another great attempt from Dharumavantha in the extra minutes of second half, a low driving shot from Adam Azmee was saved by Kalaafaanu keeper with out any trouble. 
 
With this win Dharumavantha now sees a place in the quarter finals as they have a game to be played in the group stage.
