Riley(Rilwan Waheed) bids farewell to his club New Radiant. 

Riley praised the fans and fellow professionals including technical staff calling them the best on his Facebook page. Riley regretted the unresolved issues with the management that made this decision to bid farewell to the club so dear to him. Speaking to BoalhaMV Riley said he will announce his new team within this week. "I want to be the player that fans expect me to be again, coming from injury, I want to prove myself and win back my place in the national team" Riley added talking to BoalhaMV.

Riley did not want to say more when asked what the 'unresolved' issues were. The Unresolved issue could be salary issues that many players had this season. Prolific players such as Dhagandey(Ali Ashfaq), Imran Mohamed and others faced the similar problems with New Radiant. This resulted in the Football Association suspending New Radiant from all football activities. Riley faced further problems when Qatari Club Sur Sports Club's offer for Riley was rejected by New Radiant. With New Radiant demanding a high transfer fee Sur Sports Club backed from the player. Riley went on record criticizing the move by the club saying that chances don't come often for Maldivian players. 

Riley wants to move past the episode and move on. Riley did not dismiss a return to New Radiant in the future though. He ended his Facebook message with "Wishing New Radiant Sports Club the best. Until next time".
