FAM has begun a Basic Referee Course in Addu.

With a total of 12 participants which includes 5 female and 7 male participants, the course started in one the footballing hubs of FAM on 1^st March and will be carried on till 8^th March and will be instructed by one of the best referees and referee instructors in Maldives, Mohamed Anil.

FAM has started this year filled with such coaching courses (D-License and C-License coaching, Goalkeeper coach, Basic Referee). These courses conducted by FAM is open for request to be conducted in companies, offices, schools etc. Such courses has paved way for a lot of young people interested in such careers to step up.

FAM is planning further such courses and youth development programs especially in the football hubs allocated by FAM for football development in the country to reignite the love there once was for football, especially from the youth under the slogan #towardsfuture.
