Inter School Football

The inter school football fever is on and all that matters in and around this period of time is the results from these tournaments. Currently, the last games of the group stage is underway and the hopes of all teams are related the results from these last games of group stage.

As of now all group stage matches of two groups have concluded and four teams have taken their spots in the Quarter Finals. Ghaazee who leads group A is followed by Thaajuddin with a win in their last group game aided by Ghaazee’s thumping of Jamaluddin into the quarters. Quarter finalists from Group B however was confirmed rather early with Dharumavantha and Hiriya winning their first two games. However, holding the 100% record with just one goal conceded and 20 goals scored, Hiriya is coming into the quarters as underdogs of the tournament.

Group C

The soonest final group stage battles will hold the teams of group C which is also referred to as the group of death. The exciting group includes of powerhouses of inter-school football, 2017 champions Majeedhiyya, 2015 champions Muhyiddin, Ahmadhiyya and Aminiyya the underdogs who surprised everyone by beating Ahmadhiyya.

The first of those battles will be between Ahmadhiyya and MAjeedhiyya which will be followed by Aminiyya against Muhyiddin. Group toppers Majeedhiyya can guarantee their spot in the final by managing to not lose against Ahmadhiyya. However, Ahmadhiyya’s spot depends on how the match between Aminiyya and Muhyiddin goes. Both Aminiyya and Ahmadhiyya have equal amount of points and equal chance of making it to the quarters.

However, referring to the matches played in this group, the match between Ahmadhiyya and Majeedhiyya seems to weigh heavier for the Majeedhiyya side as they are currently leading the group with a 10 goal difference in their bag in this group of death. In the same note, the game between Aminiyya and Muhyiddin feels would end in favour of Aminiyya as comparing the matches of both teams, Aminiyya seems to have the better advantage and chance of winning. The 2015 champions competing against Aminiyya this evening however is out of the tournament as they lost their previous two games.

It’s worth noting that even a second can change the whole game and these predictions may be proved wrong. Three teams fighting for a spot in the quarters have all to lose for depending on the results.
