Aminiya had a comfortable entrance as they won their first game, but a horrible defeat in the second match against Majeediyya made things little heavier for the green boy’s side. However, winning the group stage match they made their way into the quarters.

The match was started well by both sides. An average game from both sides reached its half way of first half when Captain Mohamed Dhalf was found with a brilliant chance to score in the game. But it was not well used. Following to Rehendhi chance, Aminiya was also with an amazing chance to take the lead on.

An outside strike from the brilliantly performing number 7 and the captain, Yooshau bin Ali Nasheed, took a hit at the cross bar. And that was it from both sides. Match reached its half time with a goal less first half.

Second half was looked more intense game from both sides. Rehendhi found with an amazing golden chance to take the lead for the first time in the game. A penalty! At the 37th minute a brilliant combination passed between Ibrahim Maun and Dhalf put Dhalf on one against one situation with Aminiya goal keeper. As Dhalf was held back by the green defender pulling his shirt, referee immediately signaled to the spot. Maun stepped to take the penalty and with the hope of giving his side the lead that can make things much better in the game. But the shot of Maun was confidently saved by green goalie, Mohamed Humam.

But it did not end there. At the 43rd minute Rehendhi went on to take the lead. Again, a penalty. Resulting to a push from behind to Rehendhi number 6, Ubaidhulla Ibrahim who were freely running with the ball into the box.  This time, Ubaidhulla stepped up to take the penalty. Leaving no chance to Aminiya goal keeper, he shot it to the top net.

Though Aminiya was trying to level the game, Rehendhi defence were on alert to neutral all the threats from the green. At the 61st minute, a good long ball by promising mid fielder, Fadal Ishfag Wani, was collected by Ubaidhulla as he went into the box freely dribbling past green left defender, number 10, Mohamed Raihan. Ubaidhulla took the shot inside the box but it was into the side net. The replica of this move was seen at the 66th minute which Ubaidhulla was never to miss. He placed the ball into the right bottom corner of the goal under the hands of Aminiya keeper. At this point of the game, there was nothing that can be done by Aminiya to score and level the game to take them into the penalites which was the only hope. But the time left was not much for the green side as they failed to create extra chances.

Therefore, Rehendhi now in semifinals, they have to face the lethal Hiriya School.
