Inter School: A look into last two year's finalist, VIHS
As Mamen Inter School Football Tournament has seen it's first senior age category match yesterday, today evening also will be full of action as last two year's finalists, Villa International High School (VIHS ) will face debuting Rehendhi School.
VIHS has being participating in inter school football tournament since school inauguration.
With good high school players they have being showing good performance each year the voice of VIHS, knows as, Blue Heart has being echoed in the inter school community.
But the things took a massive turn. During 2017, VIHS participated inter school football after a long 3 years sit back. With a new coach, recent youth championship winning coach, Club Eagles's assistant, Ibrahim Saeed (Kaka) , VIHS saw it's best days so far.
Winning the tournament that year, defeating atoll visitor Dh.Kudahuvadhoo side in the final. But it was not it only. The Blue Heart side also defeated the most successful senior age group side, Ahmadhiyya in the process, while Ahmadhiyya was on a run for straight 5 titles in a row.
After that VIHS has being either champion or runner up. Last VIHS ended with a silver as Ahmadhiyya came on over the blues to lift the title for the 5th time defeating VIHS in the penalties.
The VIHS side will be led by their for most best coach so far, in the VIHS history, Club Eagles assistant coach, Kaka. Another team led by coach Kaka, the orange army of Imaduddin, also is in under 15 age group final.
The match between VIHS and Rehendhi will kick off at 1600 hrs in National Football Stadium.
