Mohamed Shazly Becomes Maldives First Pro-Licensed Coach

Mohamed Shazly has completed his Pro-diploma to become the first Maldivian to obtain the highest football coaching certificate.

Shazly, who is currently Football Association's head of Coach Education department completed recently. Mohamed Shiyaz, Eagles head coach is also currently studying to obtain the Pro-diploma certificate. 

Talking to BoalhaMV, Shazly said that his responsibility is towards helping create more coaches. "As the head of the coach education department, I will try my best to develop more coaches" Shazly told BoalhaMV. When asked if he believed that we are lacking in coaching department, Shazly rejected the notion. Shazly said that Maldives is doing fine with the coaches at the moment, although there is place for improvement.

Shazly worked with BG Sports Club and Victory Sports Club before moving to the Football Association of Maldives. Shazly also headed the under-23 National team in 2014.

Becoming a Pro-Licensed coach, Shazly becomes the most qualified coach in the Maldives. Pro-License deals with the management side of football focusing much more on theory as well as more detailed practicals. Only coaches who has the A-License can attend the Pro-Diploma course. 

Besides the Pro-Licensed coach Shazly, Maldives has 24 A-Licensed coaches. A-License deals with full 11v11 tactics and managing a team.
