Maziya has departed for Saudi Arabia for a training camp along with Umrah.

The club got this chance along with TC Sports Club via FAM in exchange for the clubs being unable to play in this year's AFC Cup. No Maldivian side will be playing in this year's AFC Cup as the Maldivian teams couldn't complete the process of AFC licensing before the deadline.

Maziya will play two friendlies in the training before returning back to home ground on 13th June. Their first league game will be played in the week after that on 19th June against defending champions TC Sports Club. The team also held a religious information session yesterday regarding the importance of the last tenth of Ramadan and Umrah. Both players and officials of the club took part in this session.

Maziya is also the team to start preparations for the new season earliest. They also held a 10-day training camp in A.Dh. Mahibadhoo last month. The team was also very active in the transfer market bringing in players such as Hamza Mohamed (Hampu), Ibrahim Waheed Hassan (Ibbe) and Ibrahim Mahudhee Hussain (Feydhoo Ibbe), Ahmed Abdullah (Lily). Many important players also renewed their contracts with the club. Recently they also brought Afghan National goalkeeper Owais Azizi to guard their net.

The other team who got the chance TC delayed the trip as they have to play the season opening charity game on june 7th which leaves them with no time for such a trip to take place yet. They will depart on July.

TC will play against Foakaidhoo FC in the charity match which will be played for two legs in home and away format. first match will be held on 7th June in Foakaidhoo Football Ground and the next leg will follow on 10th June at Galolhu National Stadium.
