Latvia under-15 thrashed Saudi Arabia under-15 4-1 today in UEFA Assist International tournament held in Hithadoo.

Starlet Beder Waleed Al Harbi gave Saudi Arabia the early lead in the fifth minute of the game. Kristers Volkovs equalized at the 30th minute for Latvia. Five minutes from halftime Turki Mashhour sent the ball into his own net to give Latvia the lead.

Goals from Bruno Melnis and Niks Sileda were enough to give the Europeans a confident lead in the second half.

Yesterday saw underdog Bhutan beat the hosts Maldives. With this win Latvia leads the table followed by Bhutan with three points each. Hosts Maldives has a better goal advantage over bottom club Saudi Arabia, both teams without a point from one game.

Next match will be played on 23rd July between Maldives and Saudi Arabia. League Leaders Latvia will meet Bhutan in the top of the group clash on 24th July.
