President of the Football Association of Maldives, Bassam Adheel Jaleel has dedicated Maldives win over Guam today to Ibrahim Waheed(Ibbe) and his family.

Bassam posted the message on his Facebook after Maldives beat Guam 1-0 away in the joint World Cup- Asian Cup qualification opener. 

"Alhamdulillahi, dedicating this win to Ibbe Waheed(Ibrahim Waheed) and his family" posted the FA President. Ibbe replied with a message of appreciation to Bassam and the team.

Ibbe recently lost members of his family to a tragic accident and returned from national team duties just before the team headed to Guam from their camp in Sri Lanka. Ibbe has been an integral part of Maldives national team in the last few years. The Maziya player was one of the best players in the SAFF Suzuki Cup last season for winners Maldives.
