Mohamed Athif(Athi) has resigned as the coach of TC Sports Club.

The champions of Dhivehi Premier League appointed Athi after parting ways with Mohamed Nizam(Nizambe) at the start of the season. Under Athi, TC Sports won the historic Charity Shield against Foakaidhoo FC 4-2. After drawing in Foakaidhoo, TC managed to win the home leg 3-1 to lift Maldives first ever home-away Charity Shield.

Athi has resigned after being unable to meet with senior management of the club to discuss concerns of players. Athi also wrote to the club that his salary has not been paid. TC Sports currently sits in fourth place of the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League.
