Women's National Team Draws With United Arab Emirates

Maldives Women's National Team drew 0-0 against United Arab Emirates last night in a friendly match played in UAE.

Maldives women's team are camping in Emirates in preparation for the upcoming SAFF Games scheduled to take place from the 1st to 10th of December in Nepal. Maldives Women's team traveled to Dubai on the 23rd of November to train in Dubai. The team will return to Male' before heading to the SAFF Games. Recently Maldives appointed experienced coach Nashid Ahmed(Naadhu) to lead the Women's football team. Naadhu will be assisted by former Maldives International player Ahmed Anil(Anni).

Maldives Under-23 National team will also travel to Nepal to represent Maldives in the men’s football category. Ranked behind India and Bangladesh, Maldives is a strong footballing nation in the SAARC region in the men’s category. Maldives are the winners of the SAFF Suzuki cup of 2018.
