Maldivian Referees In Malaysia For AFC Refereeing Conference
Maldivian referee Mohamed Javiz, Ahmed Abdulla and Jaufar Rasheed are in Malaysia to participate in the AFC Refereeing Conference.
Mohamed Javiz is a FIFA Referee while Ahmed Abdulla and Jaufar Rasheed are FIFA Assistant Referees. The three will represent Maldives in the four day conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The three Maldivian officials are AFC Elite level referee's selected by the Asian Football Confederation after being nominated by the Football Association. The four day seminar is a refresher course for elite selection of AFC referees.
Maldivian referee's department has lot of challenges in the Maldives. "there is a shortage of referee's in the country at the moment" FAM official told BoalhaMV.
