Maldives Under-23 Has Traveled To Nepal For SAFF Games

Maldives Under-23 National Team has left Male' for Nepal tonight to participate in the SAFF Games.

Maldives were drawn with India and Sri Lanka. First game is scheduled on the 2nd against favorites India. India has since withdrawn and SAFF organizer's are yet to finalize changes to format or group. Hosts Nepal are drawn with Bangladesh and Bhutan

Maldives team traveled with Petar Segrt as coach. Maldives won the SAFF Suzuki Cup last season beating India in the final match after a poor start to the tournament. Maldives Under 19 team earlier finished third to win the Bronze in the Under 19 SAFF Cup earlier this year.
