Maalhos League kicks off with Alpha holding onto disappoint the defending champions Dhandi United 1-1.

After a goalless first half Ashraf Naseer(Parte) scored the opener in the second half for Dhandi United heading from a corner. Maalhos Sports Club star headed Dhandi United into the lead. New comers Alpha came back from behind with young midfielder Faris, scoring from a freekick directly. In the opening game of the highly anticipated Maalhos League 2019, Adam Shaheen was awarded the 'man of the match'.

In the next fixture Dhandi Sports will play against former champions Vaanuvaa.
