Blues to announce new leadership on Monday

New Radiant sports club are expected to announce their new board on Monday. The Blues have been suspended from all footballing activities after the club failed to pay their players and as a result the club have been out of action since the FAM imposed the suspension. 

A group of New Radiant supporters lead by current sitting member of parliament Mohamed Nasheed (Mostaa) of Nolhivaram leads the campaign to save the Blues. The fans have also decided to sell jerseys to raise funds to pay off the debts. 

With the football association election upcoming Blues are desperate to pay off the debts. Should they pay what they own the sanction on New Radiant may as well be lifted by the FAM during the congress. However it is not know if the group of fans who lead the salvage could be able to pay off the enormous debts before the congress. 

In any case the Blues pay off all their fine the club is likely to be allowed back into the footballing spectrum but the Blues would have to play in the second division. 

The Blues fell into trouble when former chairman of the club colonel retired Mohamed Ziyad left his post with millions in unpaid wages to players and caching staff. The most notable of the unpaid include former Portuguese coach Bernado Tavares and Afghan defender Haroon Amiri as well as many local players. 

Sayyid Ali is the acting chairman of the clubs and is believed to take a role in the new board of directors as well.
