President of FA Maldives and senior officials have met with the local coaches to discuss the season schedule for 2020-21. Last season saw a number of breaks in the league calendar to give time for senior National Team to prepare for World cup and Asian joint qualifiers.

The breaks in the season some times lasted for more than a month and many coaches and players were unhappy with the long breaks. Some of the club barely had the minimum amount of player required for practice such as Maziya. The Greenboys squad is built around a number of National team players.

Many clubs and supporters alike were left unimpressed by Fa's antics for last season and breaks without competitive matches we greeted with anger by many. Clubs operating on smaller budgets were hugely not in favor as they had to pay for foreign players despite the players not playing any football for long periods.

The FA Cup and Presidents cup had also been thrown into chaos. The FA Cup is set to be held next month but many of the clubs have let go of their key players and oversees import layers. The meeting was attended by coaches of Green Streets, National Team assistant coach Suzain, Eagles gaffer Mohan and former TC boss Nizam.
