TC return from preseason in Doha to begin AFC Cup journey

TC Sports Club have returned after ending a successful training camp in Qatar. TC are preparing for their maiden season in the AFC Cup group stages where they are joined by Bangladeshi league champions Basandhura Kings, Indian I league winners Chennai City FC and playoff winners Maziya Sports and Recreation.

A history making campaign for Maldivian clubs since the new format was introduced in 2017 this is the first time two Maldivian Clubs have made it into the group stages. TC must take of league rivals Maziya twice in Male' but their debut game is due to be played on the 11th of March in Dhaka against Bangladeshi champions Basandhura Kings spearheaded by former New Radiant boss Oscar Bruzon who know TC all too well. 

TC first ever home game in the AFC Cup is on the 15th of April against Chennai City while the first all Maldivian fixture takes place on the 29th of April against Maziya. 

TC have spend big to strengthen their squad with the signing of Ali Ashfaq from Green Streets alongside players from Foakaidhoo FC. Haneef Saqib, Shamis, Khalil and Mahmoudh joined. Coach Shaz now has plenty of options to choose from with the addition of these new players.
