Life long Blues fan Mostaa becomes Chairman of New Radiant
New Radiant Sports Club

New Radiant Sports Club have appointed the clubs new board of directors. The club has been fighting for survival since former chairman Colonel Retired Ziyad abandoned his project and left the Blues with millions in unpaid debts. The clubs owes players and coaching staff around five million.

The Blues fans have now started a campaign save to save the Blues. The goal is to raise five million through fund raising and sales of merchandise. New Radiant are desperate to pay off the debts before the FAM congress to have any hopes of taking part in the 2020 season.

New Radiant was suspended for the 2019 season and are likely to play in the second division if they can get the chance to get the ban lifted. A lifted ban would mean the Blues would have to raise money to establish a first team squad.

The new leadership is lead by Member of Parliment for Nolhivaram Constituency Mohamed Nasheed Abdullah (Mostaa) who takes the role as chairman. Blues legend Sayyid Ali is the vice chairman of the club while board member include Zaheenudheen Saeed, Hussain Shaam Adam, Hassan Hussain, Abdul Muiz Musthafa, Ahmed Siyam, Ahmed Wasif and Ismail Rasheed.
