Football Association of Maldives first ever fitness specific course has been cancelled. The course was targeted for coaches with B license and above. The course received a number of applicants with many coaches showing interest. The one week long course is set to take place on early April but has not been confirmed. 

An AFC instructor was to take lesson with focus of all fitness aspects of the game to be taught during lessons. There has not been a fitness specific course held in the past. According to sources AFC has cancelled a number of events due to the breakout of the Covid-19 virus. 

AFC has taken a number of action as Covid-19 grips through out Eastern Asia and parts of Central Asia and Middle East. Covid-19 first found in Wuhan city the capital of China's Hubei province. More than 94,00 cases has been reported and many of the upcoming FIFA World Cup and Asian Cup joint qualification is set to be played behind closed doors. 

Maldives away fixture with China has been moved to Buriram in Thailand and will be played behind closed doors. Furthermore, the Maldivian Ministry of Education after recommendation from the Health Protection Agency has sanctioned a ban on all extra Curricular activities.
