The sixth Inter school handball tournament has been delayed due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in the Maldives. The news was confirmed by the Ministry of Sports in a press release. 

Prior to the cancellation of the tournament the Ministry of Education imposed a ban on all extra curricular activities upon advice from the Health Protection Agency. 

The tournament was to be held from the 20th of March on wards. Many sporting events have been cancelled due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in the Maldives with six cases report to date.
