United secure win to keep pressure on Foxes

Manchester United secured a much needed win against Crystal Palace in controversial circumstances to keep pressure on Foxes who sit fourth in the standings thanks to a better goal difference.

The Eagles had a strong penalty appeal turned down by VAR and minutes later Marcus Rashford drew first blood. Sweetly rounding up a defender before firing home into the far corner of the net.

After the restart Palace had a goal ruled out for offside by VAR. Jordan Ayew turned in Wilfred Zaha's low cross but Ayew was inches offside and the goal was ruled out much to the relief of the United players.

United capped home all three points after Martial converted from close range to make it 2-0. United remain on points with Foxes as the race for the final champions league place intensifies.
