Minister of Youth Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof is hopeful to complete re-development work of Male' Ekuveni Running track for the Republic day, 11th of November. 

Minister Mahloof tweeted today mentioning that running track will be replaced with synthetic. 

He added that this running track will be beneficial for cricket, Athletics and to those who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Running track located in the Sports complex of Male' was build in 1996. Since then this place is commonly used for running, walking and for exercises. Running track is centered by a beautiful cricket pitch. Running track and cricket pitch were used for sports competitions and some academies as well. 

Renovation work of Ekuveni running track was started on 22 June 2020 after 24 years. This project is being conducted by R.K.L as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
