Youth Ministry Completes the Football Ground of Kendhikulhudhoo
Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof announces the completion of a new football ground in Noonu atoll Kendhikulhudhoo.
Minister Mahloof revealed the news via Twitter, posting several pictures of the completed football ground.
Minister stated that the project was conducted in Kendhikulhudhoo with the support of Youth, Island Council and Parliament Member of that constituency, therefore he thanked them.
He brought up another good news for football lovers in Raa atoll Alifushi, stating that the next football ground will be completed within one weeks time in Alifushi.
Minister Mahloof noted that after completing Alifushi Football ground government will commence work in Laamu Atoll Gan and Fuvahmulah City football grounds.
"hoping to see star players from Islands in a few years’ time" Mahloof concluded.
Developing football grounds and sports infrastructures in atolls are under a new government sports policy pledge with regard to football development in the atolls.
