Court Case Against TT Association is made without reading the Memorandum of Association : Lawyer

A court case against the upcoming election, was submitted without properly reading the Memorandum of Association says the lawyer of Table Tennis Association, Jaushan Mohamed. 

An ecxo Member, Adam Manik (Thaalhafili Alibe) has submitted a court case against TT association, mentioning that  it is unable to take place a free and fair election, even with the help of Sports Minister and Commissioner of Sports.

TT association responded the issue stating that this court case would make things difficult and Maldives may face a suspenstion from International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

Regarding the matter TT Association held a press conference yesterday. Speaking at the press conference Lawyer Jaushan said that this not and issue a court can give a verdict.

furthermore he said recently TT association had received a letter from ITTF, where they have mentioned that they fully trust Maldives National Sports Majilis.

" If anybody is trying to confuse the truth, may lead to damages without their knowledge, therefore i would like to say this issue was raised and made it to a court case because they haven't properly read the Memorandum of Association" Jaushan said.

ITTF has already gave a warning to TT association regarding the matter. ITTF issued a statement mentioning that election should go on without a third party interference. ITTF added that the last word should be given by the Sports Council.

TT association has Scheduled to hold their general election on next Tuesday.

Ali Manik himself is running for the post of Individual Member. Former education management expert, Toha Saleem is running for the post of President, competing with the current president Ali Rasheed (Ayya).
