Dhivehi Premier League FAM Maziya Sports and Recreation Club

Maziya Sports and Recreation Club set to start its practice next Saturday.

Maziya will be the first club to resume its practice after the halt of football activities during February 2020, due to Coronavirus outbreak in Maldives.

Since February clubs have been bringing changes to their squad and coaching staff. Maziya is one of the clubs which brought significant changes such as replacing Macedonian Coach Marjan Sekulovski  to Mohamed Nizam (Nizambe) as  their head coach.

Maziya is also the most successful team in last season who won the champion shield of Dhivehi Premier League.

A senior official from Maziya, told Boalha.mv that they are ready to start practice on Saturday Morning.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) gave the approval to clubs to restart team practice to get ready for the next season.

Football association of Maldives (FAM) is preparing to start a new season  before the year ends.  FAM proposed a new guideline to HPA to get the government's approval to start football activities in the capital, Male' City.

All Dhivehi Premier League clubs must follow the instructions issued by government and FAM, to minimise the spread of Covid-19 virus.

Meanwhile Islands are enjoying recreational and sports activities without much of restrictions.
