Maziya Sports & Recreation gaffer Mohamed Nizam has said that his side are fully prepared for the league and that he is pleased with how the pre-season played out. Nizam's first official game with his new side will be against Club Eagles in the 2020 FA Charity Shield. 

During the press conference on Monday Nizam said that he took over for the AFC Cup but since the the tournament was cancelled practice session were cancelled resulting in significant drop in players fitness levels. Nizam further stated that he is pleased with Maziya starting pre-season early and that he believes this would have a positive impact on his side. 

Speaking at the press Green boys captain Asadulla Abdullah said that his team-mates are keen to get back on the pitch for competitive matches. He also added that Maziya's to target is to defend the title. In preparations for the new season Maziya have signed midfilder Mohamed Umair alongside Serbian goalkeeper Nicolai. 

The FA Charity Shield is set to take place on Tuesday night when Maziya take on Club Eagles and the league is set to commence on the 13th December, when Green boys take on United Victory in their title defense campaign.
