Koopman extends contract
National Team head coach Martin Koopman has extended his contract for three years. Koopman joined the National side during January of last year and has never managed the Red Snappers is a competitive game. Koopman took over with a two year contract.
All International Football matches were cancelled last year and the National side were out of action however, Koopman did have a couple of practice session with his newly selected squad. With AFC Cup and World Cup joint qualification to start next month Maldives are set to take on China in a away game which will be Koopman's first game in charge.
Koopman has previously managed the likes of Aruba and was an assistant for the Saudi national side. The Dutch man also managed Chinese super league side Guangzhou R&F and managed Saudi powerhouse Al Nassr for one season back in 2012.
