Match week #6 – Our predictions

After the drama of Club Green Street vs Maziya SR match all eyes would be back on the referees as Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier league’s match week #6 fixtures are to be played in the next three days. Boalha MV looks at the fixtures list for the weekend and shares our prediction.

Maziya SR vs TC Sports Club

Maziya has been awarded the abandoned match against Club Green Streets which means they are still top of the Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League. With their captain injured for the rest of the season they will still have to play well as a team to remain in the spot. TC won their last week’s match unconvincingly against Maalhos and was pretty wasteful in front of the goal. We predict Maziya would win a hard fought match.

Boalha MV Prediction: Maziya to win 2-0

Club Green Street vs Maalho

Club Green Streets would want to put behind the drama of match week #5 and their abundance match against Maziya. They face a Maalhos team who is improving every match and almost came from behind to draw against TC. Everyone eyes would be on referee’s decisions specially if it goes against club green streets. Would there be a repeat of match week #5. We think the distraction would have a negative impact on Club green streets and  Maalhos just might sneak a point in the match.

Boalha MV Prediction: 1-1 Draw

New Radiant Sports vs Kudahuvadhoo

Kudahuvadhoo remains at the bottom of the league table and it’s difficult to see them climbing up given the forms of the other teams. They face arguably the strongest attack line in New radiant.  But surprisingly New Radiant did find it really hard to break down Milandhoo in match week #5. While Kudahuvadhoo coach Mohan would know their opponents very well having a close relations with them over the years, we feel he can’t do much to decide the outcome of the match, and we feel it would be a comfortable with to New Radiant.

Boalha MV Prediction: New Radiant to win 4-0

Milandhoo vs Thinadhoo

Milandhoo was very good against New Radiant and made it really hard for them to score a goal. They are against an improving Thinadhoo team who seems to be the best team out of the Minivan Championship teams. If they are to fight for a top four spot they need to win matches against other Minivan Championship sides. While we feel Thinadhoo would control and dominate the match against Milandhoo, they might just face a really resilient and stubborn team and find it just impossible to break them down.

Boalha MV Prediction: 0-0 Draw
