Maldives Football awards are to be held on the 16th of December in Dharubaaruge.

The categories of the second addition of the awards are   - Maldives Football Best Player 2017, Maldives Football Best Coach 2017, Maldives Football Juley Award 2017, Maldives Football Best Foreign Player Award 2017, Maldives Football Best Goal keeper Award 2017, Maldives Football Fan Award 2017, Maldives Football Golden Shoe Winner 2017, Maldives Football Most Promising Player Award 2017.

Selected members of the football community such as coaches, players from the top tier teams, registered journalists, fans registered with Maldives football vote within players/ coaches selected by the Maldives football panel.

Former Barcelona and Spain captain Carles Puyol will be the chief guest of the event. The World Cup winner is considered one of the greatest players of Europe.
