New Radiants Ali Fasir(Sentey) and Coach Oscar Bruzon Barreras bags Maldives top football awards of 2017.

Other winners of tonight's awards were Jooley Award for goal of the season for Ibrahim Mahudhee, Most Promising player to Hassan Naiz(Dhaadhu), Best Goalkeeper Imran Mohamed, Best Foreign player Valdes Adrian Gallardo, Golden Shoe winner Ali Fasir(sentey) and the best supporter award for Maalhos supporters.

Along with them Nasir(Naabe) of Victory, Adheel Jalil of Valencia and New Radiants Queen Waheed were also honored in tonight's award ceremony. Spanish football legend Carles Puyol was the special guest. Olympic committee chairperson Shaweedh, FAM President Bassam, Ali Umar, Dr Shakeeb, Malla Lhathutthu and Maldives Football founder Shimad handed the awards.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of Football Association of Maldives, Bassam called for the media to be more responsible. while it is not a problem to criticize, Bassam has called on to be more constructive while criticizing. He has said plans are in place to improve football,  specifically youth football.
