Club Eagles beat Thinadhoo 1-0 in the opening match of the under 21 championships.

Mohamed Naim scored the only goal of the game in the opening match of the Championships. Eagles, the favorites had several chances to double their lead. Thinadhoo nearly eaqualized at the last few moments of the game. Thinadhoo defended well against Eagles and stopped Eagles brand of passing football.

Tomorrow Maziya will kick off their campaign against united Victory at 1550 hours. All the games are scheduled to be played in the National Stadium.

Eagles, the favorites are on course for their third consecutive Youth Championship wins. Eagles will play their second game against Maziya on the 25th.
