Ahmed Arif (Aari) of Maalhos has been talking to Valencia and Green Streets according to our sources.

Sources close to the player reveal that he has had offers from Maziya, Eagles and TC earlier. It is only a matter of time till he moves from Maalhos.

Late last month Aari was in advance talks with TC. It is uncertain how things will turn out as interest in striker increases. The Maalhos player, a striker by trade, played as a winger for Maalhos in their Premier League campaign, scoring three goals with three assists. Aari spent early part of the Premier League recovering from injury. Aari is famous for the goal he scored against New Radiant getting nominated as 'The Best Goal' by Maldives Football awards. Ali Suzain of Green Streets has publicly praised Aari's performances.

It will be a major blow for Maalhos as they will no doubt try to emulate their last seasons good performances. The new format means that the top four Minivan sides (top four Atoll teams) will start their preparations three months later than Male' clubs. It will be a major challenge for these side to hold onto their best assets. Millandhoo has already lost their star man Ishan (Sattu).
