SHAAKITTE STEPS DOWN AS ASSISTANT COACH OF CLUB EAGLES

Assistant coach of Club Eagles, Ahmed Shaakir (Shaakitte) has stepped down from his duties for Club Eagles and has accepted the offer by FAM as a youth coach.

Shaakitte, who served for the club for seventeen years, has joined FAM as a youth coach who will be in charge of instructing U16 and U19 national teams. He was under coach Saanthi in Eagles before and now will again work under Saanthi but in FAM.

Shaakitte instructed Eagles youth team to lift the youth championship three times in a row and has added other achievements to his collection with the senior team as an assistant coach. He believes that this is a good opportunity for him as well as the other coaches at the club.

Shaakitte mentioned the news on social media and has mentioned that he is not leaving the club, but taking a break from the club duties to develop youth players at FAM. He has also stated that if he were to return to a club, his first priority would be Club Eagles as his heart lies with the club.
