Zohib Islam Amiri, the captain of Afghanistan is all set to join New Radiant.

Amiri, also known as Haroon Fakhruddin is Afghanistan's most capped player. The strong defender made his International debut again the Maldives in the SAFF Gold Cup in 2005. He will have many familiar faces working with him. As most of the Maldives National team will now be his team-mates.

The 28 year old experienced center back has played for the likes of Mumbai FC, Chennai City, Dempo SC and others. New Radiant coach Óscar Bruzón Barreras was the assistant coach at Mumbai FC when Amiri was playing for them
