ASAKO RETURNS TO TRAINING AFTER A LONG SITBACK

Maziya’s caption Asadulla Abdulla (Asako), who recently renewed his contract with the club has returned for the club’s practice after a long sitback.

Asako suffered a blow to his left knee during the match Maziya played against Milandhoo FC in DPL on 19th August 2017. Maziya won the match by 1-0 but Asako had to leave the pitch during the match and had to sit back and watch the rest of the DPL games Maziya played.

Asako had to undergo a meniscus and a ligament surgery on his left knee to repair the damage caused during the match. The surgery was done in India’s Ortho One Orthopedics Specialty Centre in Coimbatore in September. Since then Asako has been working on recovery and waiting for the day to return to the pitch.

Speaking to media, Asako said that he is still not fully fit and is still working on rehabilitation. He also stated that he is participating in practices mainly to jog and slowly work his way through to become fully fit.

Maziya faced huge problems in attack due to the injury Asako suffered. To fill the gap of Umair and to strengthen the team, Maziya has signed Dhaadhu and other good players during the transfer. With Asako returning to practice, Maziya is continuing their preparation for the season with high hopes of seeing their caption back in action soon.
