After much awaited wait, Maldivian football season for 2018 is back with us. New squads, new players and hope and promises with it. First match Day did not produce major upsets as such, but Maziya SR must be disappointed with their result against Club green streets. While match Day one might be too soon to judge the teams and their performance, Boalha MV looks at the fixtures list ahead for match day #2 and shares our prediction.

Victory SC vs United Victory

Once United Victory was known as the sister club for Victory SC, but things have much changed and the clubs are fierce rivals now. With a big loss in their first match of the league Victory SC, and coach Kiss is already in a sense of panic. Victory SC had to sign a whole team for the new season and its understandable that they might need some time to gel together. Kiss also complained in match day one that the team was unfit. United Victory on other hand produced a satisfying win with over Club Valencia, a result that promises hope for the season head under Nazeeh. United Victory would hope to improve on their result and performance in match day #2.

New Radiant SC vs Maziya SR

New Radiant had a satisfying and comprehensive win over their neighboring rivals TC Sports Club in match day #1. On the other hand, Maziya SR had a disappointing draw against Club green streets. A match they needed to win as their aim for the season according to their coach is to win the league. While they cannot afford to lose more points, they face their toughest and arguably the most difficult match in the league against mighty Blue in match day #2. New Radiant would want nothing less than a win against rivals Maziya SR on match day #2, before they change their focus to their AFC Cup group stage match.

TC Sports Club vs Club Green Streets

TC had a difficult match day #1 against the Blues, but was in the match till the 80 minute when one of their players was send off and New Radiant scored two late goals. Club Green streets produced an upset in a sense, as they held Maziya SR for a draw in the Match day #1. TC Sports Club would want to arguably bounce back in style and get 3 points on the board while Club Green streets and coach Suzain would love nothing more than another upset in a draw or a win against TC.

Club Eagles vs Club Valencia

Club Eagles produced an almost perfect second half against Victory SC to come back from a goal down to win 4-1 in match day #1. Club Valencia on the other hand had a match result they would want to forget soon as Soba was unable to make his team tick in match day #1. While Club Valencia would want to drastically improve their play and gain at-least a point, Club eagles would be confident heading into the match that they can secure 3 more points. We do not see any other result, but a comfortable victory to Club Eagles.
