Ali Ashfaq's goal gives New radiant sports club a important win againts Maziya sports and recreation extending the  blues lead against maziya to five points at the top of the STO Male' league with a 1-0 victory.

The first half of the game was dominated by New radiant and the deadly attacking force of New radiant created decent chances. The first half also saw three penalty appeals by the blues being turned down. Ever since the appeals from New radiant match referee Adam Fazeel failed to control the game and lacked consistency.

After a dangerous attempt by green boys striker Stewart, Blues took the lead a minute later at the 25th minute of the game.  Ashfag beat two Maziya defenders inside the area before placing hte ball into the back of the net.

Before the end of the first half blues had chance to extend their lead but failed to do so. Spanish striker Marti missed a glorious chance to extend the lead.

The second half saw a improved Maziya with more possession and desire to get back on level terms. Imaaz fired a powerful shot before coming on the end of Stewart's cross.
