Muraidhoo has won over Hanimaadhoo by an aggregate of 4-2 in the Zone 1 of Minivan Championship.

Zone 1 included two champions from Haa Alif (Muraidhoo) and champions of Haa Dhaalu (Hanimaadhoo), who battled in home and away matches to advance to the final round. The first match was played in Hanimaadhoo where Muridhoo grabbed two away goals by beating Hanimaadhoo by 2-0.

The second match was played at Muraidhoo where Hanimaadhoo reduced the deficit before the hour mark, but were unable to stop Muraidhoo from netting two goals after the hour mark. The match ended as a draw by 2-2 and Muraidhoo were crowned as champions of Zone with the two away goals they added to their account in the first match.

With altered rules to this year’s Minivan Championship, teams that competed in the premier league last year will compete in this year’s final round of Minivan Championship.
