Today evening, in the FAM turf ground, Football Association of Maldives 2^nd Division Football has begun. In the opening match, Kuda Henveiru United met B.G Sports Club.

This year’s FAM second division football will be carried out in association with Maldives Post Limited and Maldives Ports Limited. As the both parties will be supporting financially to the participating teams.

In today’s opening event of this year’s second division football, the associated parties’ executives from Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) and Maldives Posts Limited took part as the special guests along with FAM deputy technical director, Ihsan Abdul Ghani (Saanthi).

In today’s opening match, It was B.G Sports who created the first chance to the game but found unlucky to convert it to a goal when the Kuda Henveiru goal keeper saved it. During the first half both sides got few good chances to score but they were not able to found the back of the net. But it was Kuda Henveiru United scored the opening of the evening and took the lead just before the half-time.

Match went to interval by Kuda Henveiru leading the match on 1-0.

In the second part of the match, in the 68^th minute, Kuda Henveiru again scored and doubled their lead making it 2-0. And the third goal by Kuda Henveiru in the match came in the 89^th minute. Kuda Henveiru ended the game winning it by 3-0 and made a strong entry in to this year’s 2^nd division football.
