NEW RADIANT FINED FOR VIOLATING AFC REGULATIONS

Champions of Male League 2018, New Radiant Sports Club has been fined with USD 4500 (69,390 Maldivian Rufiyaa) by AFC for violating AFC regulations in two group stage matches played in Galolhu National Stadium.

The blues have been fined for violating regulations during their group stage clash against Bengaluru FC of India and Daka Abahani of Bangladesh in Male. According to AFC, the blues had not numbered the seats during these two clashes which resulted in a fine of USD 1500 for each match. AFC had also found out that ticket sold for the match had not provided necessary information on it and as a result, Male league champions had been fined with USD 750 for each match.

New Radiant has been fined with a total of USD 4500 and this is the is to be payed within 30 days. The blues had also been fined two years ago for allowing Maldivian Idol performers on the pitch with out the permission of AFC.
