In this ongoing Dhiraagu U-13 Youth League, Maldives Soccer Mates (MSM) and AM Sports Academy has won today evening matches.

In the first match of today evening, AM Sports Academy (AMSA) from Hulhumale’ met MS Helping Hand Sports Academy. AMSA won the match with a big 5-0 score over MS Helping Hand side. In the match Meesam Munthaz (J#10) was the star of the match as he scored the all five goals of the match. Meesam was only able to score once before the half time. Meesam scored the opening goal of the evening at the 16^th minute mark. Then in the second half he scored the rest of the four goals. He went to complete his hatrick at the 38^th minute mark. Both teams gave maximum chances to players to play using all the five substitute options.

In the second match of this Saturday evening, visiting side Hulhumale’ Sports School (HSS) faced Maldives Soccer Mates (MSM). The face-off was won by MSM boys by a 0-1 narrow margin. It was not surprise at all to see the solid performance from both sides as they have already showed such games in the previous matches respectively. MSM and HSS is two of the most solid teams in this very brand new youth league. This meeting between both sides also went almost on level until the last minute of play of regular time. HSS juniors was strong enough to hold on to MSM side and gain atleast a point from the match until at the 48^th minute when the game went to decide the winner. A late goal by MSM turned the match on their favor. The only goal of the match was scored by Ahmed Alaau (J#5) for MSM side just before the final whistle of the game.

It is to be highlighted that for the first time in this league, during a match, a team did not use single substitute option during the entire match. In this match HSS did not use any of their five substitute option.

This youth league is the brand new chapter in the development program of FAM’s “Towards Future”.
Officials from both FAM and respective academies were present to watch the game. Moreover, the parents of the players, friends and families also were present during the match making the environment more exciting.

All the fixtures of this Dhiraagu U-13 Youth League 2018, matches will be played during the weekends. It was decided wisely by FAM as not to interrupt the school routine and extra studying times of these players.

There will be two matches played on each weekend day, Friday and Saturday.
