Japan beat Nepal 1-0 in the ongoing Asian games held in Indonesia.

Nepal played the whole game with an extremely packed defense to keep Japanese attacks at bay. Japan's only goal of the game came very early in the game by Mitomo Kauru in the 7th minute. Nepal's TC Sports goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong had a busy night making 13 saves on goal.

Nepal's next game is against Vietnam before playing their SAFF games group opponent Pakistan on the 18th. 

Nepal is in the same group with Pakistan in the SAFF Suzuki Championship next month along with Bhutan and the hosts Bangladesh.
