President of the Football Association of Maldives Bassam Adeel Jaleel has met with the National team on the eve of their departure to Bangladesh.

Bassam, the youngest ever FA President met with the team in the National team's quarters in Qatar. The National Team will travel to Bangladesh to participate in the SAFF Suzuki Cup on the 2nd. 

Maldives' first match will be against Sri Lanka on the 7th and then against India on the 9th. In SAFF Suzuki Cup's group B, Maldives, Sri Lanka and early favorites India will battle for top 2 spots in the 3 team group. Top two will be playing the semi-finals against the top two from group A. Hosts Bangladesh will take on Bhutan, Nepal and Pakistan in group A of SAFF Suzuki Cup.
