Maldives Girls Under 19 National Team Has Traveled To Bhutan

Girls National under 19 National Team has traveled to Bhutan to participate in the SAFF Championships.

Maldives Girls National team left yesterday evening through the Greater Male Bus Terminal. A small crowd gathered to wish the team the best in the upcoming SAFF Championships. The Vice President of the Football Association, Aishath Nazima greeted the team. FA General Secretary Hussain Jawaz, Head of Women's Football Mohamed Athif and Head of Youth Development Ahmed Shareef (Dunga) were among those that attended with Aishath Nazima. 

Maldives Girls Under 19 will be lead by Coach Ahmed Azmee and his assistants Fehendhoo Coach, Ismail Anil and Foakaidhoo FC's assistant coach Ahmed Husham(Chin).

Maldives was drawn again with India and Sri Lanka. Since Sri Lanka has withdrew from the tournament, The hosts Bhutan has been moved to group A with Maldives and India. Pakistan, Nepal and Bhutan will battles out in the group B.
